金岳霖有個學生，叫做許淵沖。
許淵沖，生于江西南昌。從事文學翻譯長達六十余年，譯作涵蓋中、英、法等語種，翻譯集中在中國古詩英譯，形成韻體譯詩的方法與理論，被譽為“詩譯英法唯一人” ，北京大學教授，翻譯家。
在國內(nèi)外出版中、英、法文著譯六十本，包括《詩經(jīng)》、《楚辭》、《李白詩選》、《西廂記》、《紅與黑》、《包法利夫人》、《追憶似水年華》等中外名著。
