　　Liu Xiang is form Shanghai， and he was born on July 13th， 1983. His height is 189cm， and weight is 74kg. In March 1999， he went into the Shanghai track and later， he went to the Nation Youth Team.

　　Sun Haiping has benn training him. At the Athens Olympic Games on August 17，2004， Liu won the mens 110m hurdles final in 12.91 seconds. He is the pride of China. We hope that he will get better results in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

　　liu xiangs dream of defending his olympic title on home soil ended on monday when he failed to start his first-round heat in the 110 metres hurdles.

As in the picture, the athlete is running, with a determined spirit, towards the finishing line in order to obtain the gold medal, considered as the symbol of success for any sportsman. It is determination that leads to success.
